Keynote address - The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero

Coming six months after the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, this session updates on the progress being made by GFANZ members to deliver on their commitments to transition to net zero. GFANZ’s work programme and deliverables for this year are highlighted and set in the broader context of the opportunities and challenges of transitioning the global economy to net zero.
Panel: Net Zero Implementation
This session takes stock of progress that GFANZ members in the financial sector, alongside real economy corporates, have made since COP26 to deliver on their commitments to transition to net zero. It considers the broad challenged being addressed, what supporting infrastructure is needed and being developed, and what more is needed.
The discussion takes place against a challenging geopolitical backdrop and stresses in energy and commodities markets, and touch on how participants are navigating these challenges.

Also an opportunity to highlight lessons learned that can be applied to other financial centres the world over.

This session looks ahead to COP27 and beyond, focusing on the milestones in the lead up to Sharm El-Sheikh and ambitions for the conference.
